The Art of the Steep
A Guide to the Perfect Ritual
Preparing our tea is not a task—it is a ceremony of self-care. To capture the full spectrum of color, the depth of aroma, and the delicate notes of our handcrafted blends, follow our guide to the perfect pour.
1. The Vessel: Frame the Beauty
Because our teas are designed to be a visual feast, your choice of teaware matters.
Clear Glass: To truly experience the "rainbow" effect and watch the botanicals unfurl, we recommend a clear glass mug or teapot.
The Pre-Heat: Rinse your vessel with hot water before brewing. A warm cup maintains the tea’s temperature, ensuring the delicate flavors stay vibrant.
2. The Water: Pure Beginnings
A luxury tea deserves a clean canvas.
Filtered is Best: Use filtered water to prevent minerals from clouding the brilliant colors of the infusion.
Temperature Matters: Never use "re-boiled" water, as it loses oxygen. For our delicate blends, aim for:
White & Green Teas: 175° - 185° (Gentle steam, no bubbles)
Herbal & Black Teas: 208° (A soft, rolling boil)
3. The Steep: The Moment of Transformation
This is where the magic happens. As the water hits the leaves, the colors will begin to bleed into the water like a watercolor painting.
Steep Time:
Green/White: 2–3 minutes (to avoid bitterness)
Herbal/Floral: 5–7 minutes (to extract the full "rainbow" pigment)
Black: 3-5 minutes
The "No-Squeeze" Rule: When removing your tea infuser, resist the urge to squeeze it. Let it drip naturally to keep the taste clean and light.
4. The "Instagrammable" Moment
You’ve created a masterpiece—now capture it.
Natural Light: Place your tea near a window. The light passing through our colorful infusions creates a stunning glow.
The Top-Down Shot: Our small-batch blends often feature whole flower buds and colorful petals. Capture them from above before you take your first sip.

5. Elevate the Experience
The Sweetener: If you prefer it sweet, use a drop of light agave or a clear honey to ensure the tea’s natural color remains translucent.
The Garnish: Add a sprig of fresh mint or an edible flower to enhance the "pampered" aesthetic.
